About Potion

Potioning is the creation of potions, drinkable items that provide a special function for the player.

Getting Started

Potions require vials to mix them. The two lowest level items (Potion of Mana and Potion of Minor Healing) have a bonus feature, in that when you use these potions, you keep the vial. This does not occur with any other potions.

You can try buying some of these potions from NPCs, using them while in battle, then using the vials as one of the ingredients to mix more.

Needed Nexus

The two lowest items mentioned above require no nexus.

Vegetal - You'll need at least 1 Vegetal Nexus and up 6 in order to mix things at higher levels.

Leveling Potion

Leveling in this skill is done by mixing items.

God: You can get up to 20% additional experience while mixing if you worship Jayden, the potion god.

Schools: There are potion schools (listed below) where you can mix items and get double experience, though you get no mixed product, for speed leveling.

Special Day: Day of Schools is a common special day since players can start it with a special stone. You can use a potion school on this day to get 3x your normal experience.

Tutorial Quest: A tutorial Quest exists for Potion, in which you mix the majority of items in the skill from easiest to hardest for bonus experience and a special perk.

Potion Schools

Using a school will give you double the experience when you mix inside it. However, you will not get the item that you mixed. It's solely for experience, and can be costly. Only mix what you can afford to lose!

Seridia

Morcraven Marsh - Potion School
Located in Fort Hallgan in the center of the map.

Portland - Portia's Potion School
A cave in the northeast of the map.

Irilion

Glacmor - Skill Academy
On the East side of Glacmor. The crafting school is in the building in the southwest corner.

Irsis - School of the Chemist
In a building in the middle of Thasendel Woods.

Melinis - Potion School
In a building in the very southwest corner of Melinis. You can use the sewers via the school's basement to walk to and from the school and storage. You must be on the top floor to get school experience, not in the basement.
